Wahlburgers to launch at Mall of America; brothers set to visit later this month
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- An opening has been set for the burger-centric Wahlburgers at the Mall of America. The restaurant with famous names behind is slated to roll out at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22.
And later on in the month, the Wahlberg brothers — actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, also a member of former boy band New Kids on the Block, and chef/Wahlburgers founder Paul Wahlberg — will make an appearance at the Mall of America to mark the occasion. That event is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31, in the mall’s rotunda.
The Wahlberg brothers’ restaurant, made famous by the A&E reality show with the same name, will feature a menu of burgers, house-made condiments, salads and sides, fish, chicken and vegetarian dishes. A full bar with adult frappes and floats round out the menu.
The Wahlberg family continues to build its restaurant empire. There were already more than a dozen locations in the United States and Canada before Hy-Vee announced in 2017 that it planned to build, own and operate 26 Wahlburgers restaurants throughout its eight-state region.
The Mall of America location is the first Hy-Vee-owned Wahlburgers to open.
