Speaker demands health insurance action or will ask Dayton to resign

48th annual Hot Dog Nite in Luverne

LUVERNE -- For the 48th year in a row, the Luverne Area Chamber of Commerce presents Hog Dog Nite, with 10,000 free hot dogs and 300 gallons of juice served from 6 p.m. until gone tonight in downtown Luverne.

Other activities during the event include: 4 to 7 p.m., Farmers Market; Patriotic Pie Party from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hilger Commons; a Tae Kwon Do demonstration from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Main Street; mini train rides from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Main Street and Cedar Street; balloons and clowning at 6 p.m.; a spotlight dance performance from 6:15 to 7 p.m. by the Palace Theatre; and wiener dog events beginning at 7 p.m. at Main and North Freeman Street. The wiener dog beauty contest will be followed by the wiener dog race.
