Alnora "Tootie" Paulsen
Alnora "Tootie" Paulsen, the daughter of F.W. "Bill" and Lily (Goedtke) Paulsen, was born on May 19, 1926 in Worthington, MN. She grew up near Worthington and graduated from the Worthington High School. Alnora graduated from Worthington Junior College and later the Kahler School of Nursing. After schooling she worked as a general staff nurse and then attended the University of Oregon. Upon her return she was employed at the Kahler Hospitals-Colonial building. Alnora retired from the Rochester Methodist Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1991. She remained in Rochester until moving to Brandon, SD in 2012 to be closer to her family. Alnora passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Bethany Home in Brandon, SD at the age of 87. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester where she had served as librarian and was involved in Bible study. She also belonged to the Methodist-Kahler Alumni and the Rochester Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sister, Carol Koster of Fulda, MN; three nieces, Nyla (Jerry) Byrd, Sharee (Mike) VanVoorst and Susan (David) Gosmire; one nephew, Mark (Wendy) Koster; six great nephews and four great-nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Irma May and one nephew, Gary May.
Funeral services will be held at the Totzke Funeral Home Fulda, MN at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 with Rev. Joe Behnke officiating. Interment at the Worthington City Cemetery Worthington, MN.
