Rob Petersen helped the Barnstormers take a 6-0 victory based on his performance both on the mound and at the plate. He picked up the victory with a seven-inning effort on the hill (11 strikeouts, three walks) and also went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI on offense.

Mickey Sehr closed out the victory by pitching the final two innings for Southwest.

Tarry Boelter (2-for-3, double) and Chuck Sendelbach (RBI-single) also had big offensive contributions for the Barnstormers.

Troy Appel was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Outlaws.

The Barnstormers open their state tournament campaign on Saturday.
