Munkel’s two-run double broke the tie in the seventh.

Nate Jensen started for Worthington and left after allowing two Tracy runs in the fourth. Munkel struck out seven batters in his five innings of work.

The win pushes the Cubs to 4-6 on the season. It was their third straight victory.

“We’re getting really good pitching,” said player-coach Josh Wasmund. “Our hitting has still been hit-and-miss, but our pitching has kept us in ball games.”

Worthington travels Sunday for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Wilmont Cardinals.
