Amateur baseball: Lakers rally in seventh
HERON LAKE -- Ike Rogers cracked a walk-off RBI single to plate Octavio Jimenez, capping a four-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Heron Lake Lakers to a 5-4 victory over the Adrian A's in an amateur baseball game Sunday.
Lucas Knutson had two hits for Heron Lake, while Jimenez, Eric Milbrath, Lon Eichenberger and Ben Scheevel each had a hit in addition to the game-winner by Rogers.
Matt Franks (four innings, one strikeout and six walks) and Scheevel (three innings, no strikeouts and one walk) pitched for the Lakers.
Taylor Klingenberg (four strikeouts, one walk) pitched six solid innings for Adrian, while Ross Ackerman and Zach Dingmann came on in relief.
Joe Kruger was 3-for-4 to lead the A's at the plate. Glen Kruger and Levi Bullerman each had run-scoring hits, while Dingmann and Matt Gades also had a hit apiece.

HERON LAKE -- Steven Zehms (12 strikeouts, two walks) pitched seven strong innings, helping the Martin County Foxes claim a 3-2 victory over the Heron Lake Lakers in an amateur baseball game at Laker Field.
Martin County held off another potential seventh-inning rally by the Lakers, who scored twice in the bottom of the seventh and had the tying run on third base with one out.
Alex Meyer (seven strikeouts, one walk) pitched a complete game for Heron Lake.
Meyer, Eric Milbrath, Ike Rogers and Lon Eichenberger each had a base hit for the Lakers (5-2, 4-2), who travel to Lamberton Tuesdaynight.

TRACY -- Wilmont cashed in all the offense it needed with a three-run second inning, beating Tracy 7-2 in an amateur baseball game.
Steven Kremer and Lucas Henning each collected a pair of hits as the winners out-hit the hosts 8-6. Tyler Hatterman added a double.
Nick Ahrens pitched five innings for the victory for Wilmont, which won the game on the heels of a 5-4 victory over Worthington on Friday.

WELCOME -- Sam Baumgartner went a full seven innings to lead the Southwest Outlaws to a 2-0 triumph over Northfield. He allowed four hits, walking five and striking out 11.
Mike Roth went 2-for-2 with a double. He and Jeff Appel each had an RBI for Southwest, now 2-0 on the season.
