PIPESTONE -- Allowing just five hits to the Marshall Tigers Tuesday afternoon, the Pipestone Area Arrows swept another Southwest Conference softball doubleheader, winning by scores of 4-1 and 11-0 in five innings.

Bailey Bouman struck out 12 batters and didn't walk anyone in the opener, as her complete-game two-hitter helped lift the Arrows -- who scored three runs in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie.

Brooke Henderson (RBI), Nicole Buysse, Amanda Monger and Brooke Woelber (double, RBI) each had a hit for the Arrows. Karli DeSchepper had an RBI-sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Chelsey Evans twirled a five-inning shutout in the nightcap, as she fanned 10 batters and allowed just three hits and one walk.

Bouman was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Henderson (two RBIs) and Kayla Rowden (2-for-2, three RBIs) each slammed a home run. Steph Rudie also had two hits for PA.

The Arrows (7-1, 9-1) host a doubleheader with MCC Friday.

LUVERNE -- Jackson County Central took a pair of Southwest Conference games from Luverne, as the Huskies outhit the Cardinals 25-12 to earn the sweep.

JCC's Kate Rentschler struck out 14 and walked two in the first game, while Kelsey Hakes fanned four and walked one in the nightcap -- both earning complete-game victories.

Kelsey Theesfeld and Mikki Fitzer each hurled a complete game for Luverne, combining to walk seven and strike out five.

Megan Bezdicek, Sarah Luhmann and Stacey Schuller (two doubles) each had two hits for JCC (6-2, 9-2) in Game 1, while Amanda Wagley was 3-for-5 with a double, and Hanna Fransen was 3-for-4 with a double.

Schuller was 3-for-3 with a double in the second game, while Hakes, Luhmann and Wagley (double) each had two hits.

Luverne's Liz Solma was 1-for-3 with an RBI in the opener, while Kat Dahl went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in the nightcap.

Luverne (2-6, 4-7) hosts Southwestern United Friday.

RRC/W-WG 7, Adrian Area 1

ELLSWORTH -- Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove's Audra Schmidt struck out 14 batters and allowed just three hits and three walks in seven innings, helping the Falcons earn a victory over the Adrian Area Dragons in a Red Rock Conference game.

Kelly Shaner had two singles and a two-run triple for RRC/W-WG, while Emily Neperman had two singles and an RBI, and Jenny Hoffman had a single and a triple. Abby Halter also had a triple for the Falcons.

Karli Meyer tossed a complete game for the Dragons (2-2, 3-4), striking out eight and walking two batters.

Meyer also drove in the only run for Adrian Area, as she had a single and an RBI-triple to score Sam Lynn. Shania Lonneman had a single for the other Dragon hit.

RRC/W-WG hosts SWU Thursday, while Adrian Area hosts Worthington Monday.

MOUNTAIN LAKE -- With the game tied at 4 after three innings, the Mountain Lake/Butterfield-Odin Wolverines scored 10 runs in the last two frames to earn a Red Rock Conference victory over Southwestern United in their home-opener.

Courtney Anderson earned a complete-game victory for the Wolverines, striking out five and allowing no walks. She was also 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBIs.

Leesha Heltemes was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs for ML/B-O (1-3, 2-7), while both Brianna Radloff and Megan Svalland (double, three RBIs) had two hits.

Sarah Schmitz ripped a two-run triple for SWU (0-5, 0-10), while Anna Obermoller had a pair of singles.

Elly Schmitz, Christine Kazemba, April Wallace and Kasey McNab all had a single for the Wildcats, with Schmitz and McNab each driving in a run on a hit and a sacrifice fly, respectively.

McNab did the pitching for the Wildcats, walking four and striking out a pair of batters.

Both teams are scheduled to play Thursday, with ML/B-O playing a doubleheader at Edgerton, and SWU traveling to Sanborn to play RRC/W-WG.

Springfield 19, Windom 3 (5 innings)

WINDOM -- Scoring four-plus runs in each of the first three innings, the Springfield Tigers rolled past the Windom Eagles for a non-conference victory.

Andrea Miesen, Katie Timm and Megan Reiner each had three hits for Springfield, while Teri Lang had a home run and four RBIs.

Timm also pitched a complete game, striking out four batters.

Windom's Karissa Borsgard (triple, two runs), Abby Lund and Megan Mattson were each 2-for-3.

Lund and Steph Utech shared the pitching duties, combining to strike out six and walk six.

EDGERTON -- Murray County Central's Maddy Robinson pitched seven innings of shutout ball Tuesday, striking out 10 and walking two to earn the complete-game Red Rock Conference victory.

Katie Hadler suffered the loss, giving up five earned runs on five hits while striking out six and walking six over seven innings.

Alyssa Claar had a three-run triple for MCC. Tara Onken was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI, while Robinson had an RBI triple.

Alyson Drooger had two hits for the Flying Dutchmen, who host a doubleheader against ML/B-O on Thursday.
