Autumn Boutique is Friday, Saturday in Slayton
SLAYTON — The Slayton Women of Today will host the annual Autumn Boutique Friday and Saturday at the Murray County Fairgrounds in Slayton.
Open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, the boutique features more than 80 exhibitors showcasing seasonal creations, furniture, home accessories, clothing, jewelry, purses, wooden items and traditional and country decor. All exhibitors are reviewed for the juried show based on quality, pricing and uniqueness of items.
Many of the exhibitors travel from the Upper Midwest and fill seven buildings plus outdoor booths on the fairgrounds.
Musical entertainment will be provided on Friday, and includes Holly VandenBerg on piano from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Kayla Daniels Country Music from 2 to 5 p.m.; and Gerald Davis performing country music favorites from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Slayton Women of Today also manage a food stand that opens at 8 a.m. each day, serving cheesy turkey sandwiches, cashew chicken salad croissants, taco salads, chicken wild rice and tomato basil soup, along with a selection of salads and dessert options. Funds raised from the food stand are given as donations to area organizations and individuals in the Slayton community.
