Boys basketball roundup: H-BC flies by Edgerton, Ellsworth tops Fulda
EDGERTON — Hills-Beaver Creek stretched a solid halftime lead into a 20-point blowout of Edgerton in Thursday night boys basketball action, winning 80-60.
Dylan Gehrke had a huge game for Hills-Beaver Creek, racking up 36 points and 10 rebounds. Also chipping in for the Patriots were Braden Ellingson, with 13 points and four assists, and Carey Taubert, who netted 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Flying Dutchmen had three players in double figures: Riley Van Klei (17 points, nine rebounds), Austin Mertens (14 points, eight rebounds), and Wyatt Butson (10 points, five assists).

Ellsworth 79, Fulda 58FULDA — The Ellsworth Panthers continued a strong start to the 2013 season and downed Fulda. Justin Kruse led 8-2 Ellworth with 24 points, and Drew Cheskie was not far behind with 23.Fulda, which drops to 1-7 on the season with the loss, was led by Josh Ramerth with 18 points and seven rebounds. MLA 83, MCC 51MOUNTAIN LAKE — Cody Klassen scored 20 points and led Mountain Lake Area to a 32-point victory over Murray County Central.
