Boys basketball: Springfield boys top Fulda; Windom Area beats LHS
FULDA — Cole Dierks’ six three pointers wasn’t enough to propel the Fulda Raiders to a victory as they fell to 2-21 with a loss to Springfield Thursday in boys high school basketball action.
Dierks finished with 20 on the night and Josh Ramerth added a double-double, 22 points and 10 rebounds. Bennet Appel contributed 12 points and Brian Fenske scored nine while getting six assists and clutching five rebounds.
The Tigers were led by Tyler Vogel with 24 points, and Cooper Scheffler with 22 points.

WINDOM — Windom Area took control in the second half of its Southwest Conference duel with the Luverne Cardinals to earn a hard-fought victory.
Victor Ogeka scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the victorious Eagles. Teammates Sam Huska added 18 points and Jacob Gotto had 17.
Josh Slieter had a big night for Luverne. He scored 19 points and corralled 10 boards. Nicholas Overgaard added 17 points and Blake Ziegler had 13.
