WORTHINGTON -- "Focus on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder" is this spring's ConnectU workshop, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 7, at the Southwest Research and Outreach Center, Lamberton.

The workshop will be of special interest to mental health practioners and professionals, school and county social workers, other school staff working with children with FASD and those in the medical professions.

Presentations will include FASD 101, assessment and intervention planning, what research says about alcohol risks and coordinated school interventions.

Registration is due April 30, and there is a fee to attend. The workshop is free for members of Southwest West Central Service Cooperative Centers (Montevideo, Pipestone, Windom and Willmar).
