Brule & AIRO in Grand Forks

Brule & AIRO, an award-winning contemporary American Indian group featuring a New Age sound, will perform at 8 p.m. March 27 at UND Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks. Tickets will go on sale Friday.

Based in South Dakota, Brule & AIRO (which stands for American Indian Rock Opera) won Group of the Year and Best New Age Recording at the ninth annual Native American Music Awards.

Its "Concert for Reconciliation of the Cultures," filmed July 13-14, 2007, at Mount Rushmore National Memorial near Rapid City, S.D., was broadcast on South Dakota Public Television.

The group has sold more than a million CDs worldwide and has performed more than 100 times a year.

Tickets will be $30 for adults and $20 for students and children. They will be available at Chester Fritz Box Office, by calling (800) 745-3000, or through Ticketmaster outlets.
