CFOC plans to distribute funds
SIBLEY, Iowa -- The Community Foundation of Osceola (CFOC) County will distribute more than $53,000 for local improvement projects tonight to 17 non-profit groups representing five areas of Osceola County.
Grants ranging from $2,000 to $3,500 will be announced and distributed during a special ceremony at 5 p.m. at the Sibley Senior Center. The public is invited to attend.
The purpose of the grants is to assist local groups in supporting human services, arts, culture, health and recreation, economic well-being, youth development and educational needs of Osceola County residents. CFOC was established in the fall of 2005 as a way to encourage charitable giving that would benefit the entire county.
