Crailsheim Road closed Wednesday
WORTHINGTON -- Crailsheim Road from Collegeway to Fox Farm Road on the west side of Worthington will be closed for construction beginning Wednesday for the installation of drainage pipe culverts through the roadway. The length of the closure could extend for several weeks.
Access to the middle school, Minnesota West Community and Technical College and the YMCA will be available from the north off Oxford Street and from the south from First Avenue Southwest by using Collegeway, Thompson Avenue, West Lake Avenue and Fox Farm Road. Crailsheim Road will be open from the south but only to Fox Farm Road.
For people passing through town and not familiar with how to get through Worthington, there will be a signed detour going west four miles and then back east to Worthington. Local traffic coming to Worthington from the southwest is encouraged to use First Avenue Southwest and Fox Farm Road instead of the lengthy detour route.
Motorists are advised to allow a few minutes of extra time to get around the construction zone.
