GEORGE, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at 9:24 a.m. Monday a half mile east of George. Jordan Furman, 28, of George, was driving westbound on A34 when he became fatigued and entered the south ditch. The vehicle became disabled after it struck a utility pole owned by Alliant Energy. The driver sustained minor injuries, the vehicle received approximately $6,000 in damages and the light pole received $2,500 in damages. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the George Fire and Rescue, the Lyon County Ambulance and Warntjes Paint and Body Shop.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to the 2000 block of Fox Farm Road at 11:16 p.m. Sunday for a female who was unable to move her legs.

WILMONT — The Wilmont Rescue and Sanford Ambulance was dispatched to the 500 block of Third Avenue at 7:20 a.m. Monday for a female who had a seizure and fell down the stairs.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to the 2000 block of W. Ridge Road at 11:58 a.m. Monday for an unknown medical problem.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to the 1400 block of N. Burlington Avenue at 12:14 p.m. Monday for a diabetic male.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched to the 600 block of 9th Avenue at 1:53 p.m. Monday for a male with chest pain.

Police

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a report of shoplifting at 6:03 p.m. Sunday at Shopko. Police arrested an adult female for theft by swindle.
