WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a crash at 2:49 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Clary Street and Douglas Avenue. An individual was cited for failure to yield.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a crash at 3:22 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Humiston Avenue and Clary Street.

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa — The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at 11:19 a.m. Friday on Iowa 9 and U.S. 71. An investigation by the sheriff’s office found that Andrew Butterworth, 35, of Spirit Lake, was westbound and attempted to pass multiple vehicles. Butterworth was unable to complete the pass and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle driven by Gregory Kuemper, 52, of Estherville, Iowa. The collision sent both vehicles into the south ditch of the highway. Kuemper had to be extricated from his vehicle. Both drivers were transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare — Butterworth with non-incapacitating injuries and Kuemper with incapacitating injuries. Butterworth was also cited for unsafe passing.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 4:42 a.m. Friday to 111 W. Okabena St. for a male with an insulin reaction.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 8:58 a.m. Friday to 1801 Collegeway for an individual who had been vomiting all week.
