LESTER, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Dogwood Avenue and 140th Street. A 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by Paul Metzger, 61, of Alvord, was attempting to pass a 2000 IHC feed wagon driven by Mitchell Knoblock, 41, of Larchwood. Knoblock was attempting to make a left turn into a field driveway. Metzger struck the left rear of Knoblock’s vehicle and entered the west ditch. His vehicle sustained approximately $7,000 in damage, while the Knoblock vehicle sustained $200 in damage. No injuries were reported.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a crash at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday in the JBS parking lot.

WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a one-vehicle rollover at 7:20 a.m. Thursday on east-bound I-90.

BEAVER CREEK — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 90, two miles east of the South Dakota state line, at 1:01 p.m. Thursday.

PIPESTONE — The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash at 1:46 p.m. Thursday on Minnesota 30, near 50th Avenue. Doug Carstensen, 53, of Pipestone was driving a 2009 Ford Transport van westbound on Minnesota 30 and slowed due to white-out conditions. His vehicle was struck by a 2003 Kenworth semi driven by Merlin Myhra, 62, of Pipestone, who was also westbound. Both individuals sustained non-life threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene was the Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 3:22 p.m. Thursday to Mark’s Towing, after it was reported that a car had been rear-ended by a semi on westbound Interstate 90.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department cited an adult male for fleeing on foot and obstruction at 1:21 a.m. Thursday on Omaha Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department responded to a reported domestic at 2:59 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Seventh Avenue.
