Accidents

PIPESTONE -- The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a sideswipe crash at 11:12 a.m. Friday on U.S. 75, at the 61st Street intersection. Involved was a northbound 2002 Buick Century driven by Elizabeth Neece, 18, of Pipestone, and a southbound 2013 Freightliner driven by David Strom, 35, of Holdingford. Neece received non-life-threatening injuries, while her passenger, Esmeray Neece, 1, of Pipestone, was not injured. Strom also was not injured. Assisting at the scene was the Pipestone County Sheriff's Office.

PIPESTONE -- The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash at 10:06 p.m. Saturday on Minnesota 30 at milepost 1. Calvin Soward, 53, of Flandreau, S.D., was driving a 1982 Honda Nighthawk westbound when he lost control and laid the motorcycle down. Soward sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Pipestone Fire Department and Pipestone Ambulance.

GEORGE, Iowa -- The Lyon County Sheriff's Department investigated a one-vehicle crash at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at 220 E. Iowa Ave. Jennifer Ann Miller, 19, of George, was driving a 2002 Dodge Intrepid when she struck a tree. According to the police report, Miller had been distracted because she was on a cell phone. The vehicle sustained approximately $7,000 in damage. Miller was not injured, but she was cited for failure to maintain control.

Ambulance

RUSHMORE -- The Rushmore Rescue and Worthington Ambulance were paged at 5:57 p.m. Friday to the 200 block of North Ludlow Avenue for a female who had taken too many pills.

ADRIAN -- The Adrian Rescue and Ambulance were paged at 10:16 a.m. Saturday to the 100 block of Louisiana Avenue for an ill female.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 7:02 p.m. Saturday to the 1800 block of College Way for a female who was short of breath.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 7:41 p.m. Saturday to the 200 block of 12th Street for a male who was ill. The patient was transported.

WORTHINGTON -- The Nobles County Jail reported a fight between two inmates at 4:02 p.m. Friday.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of damage to a fence at 5:55 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Eighth Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an adult male for no Minnesota driver's license at 7:11 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Oxford Street and Grand Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for no Minnesota driver's license at 7:44 p.m. Friday near the intersection of 10th Street and Second Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department arrested an adult male for fifth-degree assault, trespass and interference with a 911 call at 9:08 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Burlington Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department responded to a disturbing-the-peace complaint at 10:21 p.m. Friday at Millard Walker Park. Kids were still playing basketball.

LISMORE -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office cited an individual for speed and no insurance at 3:38 p.m. Saturday on Minnesota 91, near the intersection of Nobles County 16.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for no Minnesota driver's license at 3:55 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of First Avenue and 14th Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for dog at large at 6:07 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Sherwood Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report at 9:20 p.m. Saturday of someone placing nails behind the tires of a vehicle in the 200 block of 12th Street.

BREWSTER -- The Nobles County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a domestic at 12:30 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for no Minnesota driver's license at 11:07 a.m. Sunday on South Lake Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for permit violation and no seatbelt, and issued warnings for cracked windshield and suspended objects at 2:28 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 11th Street and Fourth Avenue.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department received a report of a child sleeping in a parked car in the sunshine with the windows cracked at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Centennial Beach lot.
