LARCHWOOD, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pickup rollover at approximately 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, at the intersection of 140th Street and Coolidge Avenue. The driver, Samuel Meinerts, 32, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, was westbound on 140th Street when he lost control of the pickup, entered the west ditch and the pickup flipped once, coming to rest on the passenger side. The pickup sustained approximately $6,000 in damage. Meinerts was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, failure to maintain control, failure to obey stop sign and failure to maintain financial liability on a motor vehicle. Assisting at the scene was the Larchwood Fire Department and the Larchwood EMS.


WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 3:49 p.m. Wednesday to 1320 Ray Drive for a male who had fallen.


ROUND LAKE — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of kids driving a go-cart down city streets at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department warned an individual at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday for parking in a no parking zone near the intersection of 13th Street and Duba Street.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department received a report of a gas drive-off at 2:45 p.m. Thursday from the Blue Line Travel Center.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fight in the midway at the Lyon County Fair and, as a result, arrested two individuals involved in an altercation in which one displayed a knife. Both men were arrested and take to the Lyon County Jail.
