WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a hit-and-run accident at 11:17 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Marine Avenue.

JACKSON -- The Jackson County Sheriff's Department investigated a two-vehicle accident at 5:27 p.m. Sunday on County Road 34. Kenneth Ling, 20, of Round Lake was driving a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix, and Richard Benda, 63, of Jackson was driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado. The two vehicles made contact, landing both in the north ditch of CR 24. Ling was transported to the Sanford Worthington Regional Hospital by the Lakefield Ambulance. Benda was transported to the Sanford Jackson Medical Center by private vehicle. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. The Lakefield Fire Department and the Lakefield Ambulance were also on the scene.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of an accident at 1:45 p.m. Monday at JBS.

ADRIAN -- Adrian Ambulance and Rescue was dispatched at 7:43 a.m. Monday to 101 Louisiana Ave. to assist a female with chest pains.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department cited an individual for driving after cancellation at 6:37 p.m. Sunday on 10th Street.

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department investigated a possible theft on the 900 block of Pershing Boulevard at 3:21 p.m. Monday.

Births

Dana Sihavong and Mark Landberg, Worthington, are the parents of a girl, Madelynn Rae Landberg, born July 5 at Sanford Worthington Medical Center. Grandparents are Paul and Carolyn Landberg and Miang Sihavong, all of Worhtington. Great-grandparents are Vang and Tevay Sihavong, Worthington, and James and Mary Winn, Marshall.
