WORTHINGTON — The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a motorcycle vs. deer accident at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday on Minnesota 60 at mile marker 6. Frank L. Scherf, 56, of Cohasset, was driving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was a total loss. He was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle accident at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday at South Union Street and South Second Avenue. Scott Hunt, 49, of Rock Rapids, was operating a 2013 Ford F250 owned by Lyon & Sioux Rural Water and was stopped on South Union waiting for a stoplight to change, When he backed up to let traffic from South Second Avenue through, he struck a 2007 Kia Sportage operated by Eric D. Broesder, 25, of Canton, S.D. The Kia sustained $1,500 in damages. No injuries were reported.

ROUND LAKE — The Round Lake Rescue Squad and Worthington Ambulance were dispatched at 2:38 a.m. Wednesday to 612 Fourth Ave. to assist a male experiencing breathing difficulty. He was transported to Sanford Worthington Medical Center.
