Jesse Feeken’s request for a conditional use permit was for a barn to house 400 head of calves. The number was incorrect in Friday’s edition of the Daily Globe.

ACCIDENTS

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle crash at approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday on Iowa 9, just west of Rock Rapids. Debra Fettes, 59, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty westbound on Iowa 9 and looking for something inside her vehicle, according to the sheriff’s report, when she crossed the roadway and struck the south side of a bridge. She then crossed the road again and entered the north ditch, where it came to a rest. She was transported by Lyon County Ambulance to Sanford Rock Rapids for treatment of her injuries. The Jeep is considered a total loss with approximately $9,000 in damages. Also assisting at the scene was the Rock Rapids Fire Department.

WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Nobles County 35 and Town Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a reported hit and run at 1:29 p.m. Thursday in the 1700 block of Donovan Drive.

KENNETH — The Nobles County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident at 1:14 a.m. Friday at the intersection of County Road 16 and Abbott Avenue.

AMBULANCE

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday to the 1500 block of North Spring Avenue for an adult female who fell. The patient was transported.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was paged at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday to the 800 block of 10th Street for an adult male.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 1 a.m. Friday o 1033 Sunset Road for an individual with low blood sugar.

POLICE

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of vandalism at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Milton Avenue.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of property damage at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of First Avenue Southwest.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department received a report of a verbal domestic at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday in the Wal-Mart parking lot.

WORTHINGTON — Wal-Mart reported a shoplifter at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department received a report of drug paraphernalia discovered during an apartment clean-out in the 2100 block of Nobles Street.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of property damage to a vehicle at 3:08 p.m. Thursday in the Walgreens parking lot.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of theft of a plant from grave from the St. Mary’s Cemetery at 9:53 a.m. Friday.
