ALLENDORF, Iowa — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated an accident reported at 5:30 a.m. Monday on Iowa 9, one-quarter mile east of U.S. 59 and one mile north of Allendorf. A 2011 Chevy operated by Amanda Bainbridge, 35, of Kingsley, Iowa, struck a deer that ran in the roadway. The Chevy sustained $6,500 in damages. Bainbridge was not injured.

ASHTON, Iowa — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office investigated an accident reported at 7:33 p.m. Monday on Iowa 60, one-half mile north of Ashton. A 2002 Pontiac operated by Zachary Specht, 20, of Marcus, Iowa, collided with the west side of a bridge after Specht fell asleep and then overcorrected. The Pontiac sustained $4,000 in damages. Specht was not injured, and was cited for failure to maintain control. The Ashton Fire Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated a report of a strong marijuana odor at 5:44 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Nobles Street.

WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Police Department investigated property damage reported at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday from the 1900 block of Willow Avenue. Animals reportedly got into a garage and damaged property.
