Days of Olde starts Friday

OCHEYEDAN, Iowa -- The Ocheyedan Days of Olde festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday with a Great Plains Tractor Pullers event in the industrial park north of town.

Food stands will be set up at the pulls and the ball diamond.

Here is a look at what else the event has to offer:

Saturday

8 a.m., 5K walk/run, registration 7:30 a.m., Ocheyedan City Park.

10 a.m., parade down main street, registration 9 a.m. at Christian Reformed Church parking lot.

10:30 a.m., Milford Antique Tractor Pull, industrial park.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m., carnival games, public school parking lot; movies of Ocheyedan events, Senior Activity Center.

11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Schwann's Sale, public school parking lot.

Noon, co-ed ball tournament, ages seventh grade to adult, public school ball field

6:30 p.m., Northwest Iowa Tractor Pullers and Central Plains Truck Pullers, industrial park

8:30 p.m. to midnight, street dance with music by 2-4-1 Band, south side of Corner Club.

Sunday

6 p.m., Gospel music by the Journey Bound Quartet, refreshments to follow performance, Ocheyedan City Park or Ocheyedan Christian Reformed Church in case of rain.

Ocheyedan Community Builders, the Ocheyedan Fire Department, the Co-op Elevator Association, Ocheyedan City Park Board and Osceola Community Hospital are sponsoring the events.
