Dorothy "Ardis" Williams

Dorothy "Ardis" Williams, age 95, was born on January 4, 1919, in Flandreau, SD, the daughter of Fred and Johanna (Krueger) Finke. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Sioux Falls, SD, where she grew up and graduated from high school. She then went on to Beauty School. Ardis married Al Quiram and he passed away on June 15, 1944, while stationed in the United States Army in New York. They had one son, Darrell Quiram. Ardis married Guy Edwin Williams on October 20, 1948, at the First United Methodist Church in Worthington, MN, where they made their home for 59 years. Guy passed away on September 5, 2008. Ardis worked as a beautician for several years. She enjoyed her neighbors and family, playing cards, fishing, northern Minnesota, and was a fun person to be around. Ardis was active in the Elks, where she enjoyed playing bridge with many of her friends. She was a great fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Ardis died on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Meadows in Worthington.

Ardis is survived by two grandsons, Brent Quiram and Bradley Quiram; three great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, son, Darrell Quiram, one brother, and five sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at the Benson Funeral Home Chapel in Worthington, MN, with Rev. Dr. Daren Flinck officiating. Burial will be a later date in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Benson Funeral Home.

Memorials preferred to First United Methodist Church of Worthington.
