The top-ranked Minnesota Class AA football team in the final Associated Press poll did not make the state playoffs. This could mean that the team that’s going in its place is exceptionally powerful, or it could mean that the team in the No. 1 spot was overrated.


You just never know until the playoffs play out. That’s the beauty of high school football.

He served as sports reporter, then sports editor, news editor and finally managing editor at the Daily Globe for 22 years before leaving for seven years to work as night news editor at the Mankato Free Press in Mankato.
