Driver dies waiting for tow truck
A semi truck driver waiting for a tow truck died at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The truck lost control and went into the median on Interstate 94 at mile post 51. The driver, Maynard Gregersen, 75 of Swea City, Iowa, rocked the truck back and forth and still couldn't get unstuck. He then called a tow truck.
While waiting for the tow, a passenger/co-driver noticed Gregersen was unresponsive.
An ambulance responded and he was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson, according to the press relase.
