Between approximately 12 midnight and 5:30 a.m. Thursday, dish or laundry soap was placed into the pond, resulting in the death of 20 large Koi fish valued at $400 to $1,000.

In addition to the death of fish, the vandalism damaged the pond's pumping system. Fargo Park District employees are working to repair the damage but potential replacement costs could exceed several thousand dollars.
