Federated members help fund local projects
JACKSON -- The Federated Rural Electric Trust, Jackson, recognized local organizations receiving $20,643 through Operation Round Up. These donations occur due to monthly contributions by participating Federated members.
Twenty-six organizations received money in this 33rd round of funding. They include:
Dunnell Book Room; Martin County West swimming pool, Sherburn; Jackson County Central Riverside Special Education, Jackson; JCC Early Childhood & Family Ed; LaCrosse 4-H Club, Heron Lake; Martin County Mentoring Network, Fairmont; Sanford Hospice, Worthington; Lakeview Health Services, Fairmont; Reinbows, Windom; Fort Belmont/Jackson County Tourism; Prairie Ecology Bus Center, Lakefield; Martin Luther High School, Northrop; Truman Public Preschool; Minnesota West, Jackson campus; Jackson Volunteer Fire Department; MCW Community Education, Welcome; JCC Anatomy Class; SSC Wellness Center, Okabena; Jackson County Library, Jackson; Jackson County Fair Board, Jackson; Rhythm of the River/Art Guild, Jackson; Alpha Volunteer Fire Department; Prairie Arts Continuum, Windom; Friendship Ventures, Annandale; American Red Cross, Worthington; Salvation Army Heatshare, Roseville.
The Trust Board received 30 applications totaling $31,595. It will meet again in the fall to determine the next round of funding. The deadline for submitting applications is Oct. 3.
Federated members with graduating high school seniors can apply for the Round Up Scholarships by Thursday.
