Filings made in Worthington races
WORTHINGTON — Candidates have until Tuesday to be on this November’s ballot. However, a few early contenders have made their intentions known.
As of Friday afternoon, the city of Worthington has three contested races.
In Ward One, incumbent Ron Wood is seeking re-election against opponent Larry Janssen. Ward Two will have new representation on the council following the fall election. Rodolfo C. “Marty” Martinez and Jeanene Townswick have both put their names in to run in the position currently held by councilman Mike Kuhle.
In lieu of vying for his current seat, Kuhle has thrown his hat into the ring in the mayoral race. Kuhle will run against incumbent Alan Oberloh, who has been mayor of Worthington for the past 12 years.
