'Fun Days' begin Friday in Brewster
BREWSTER — Fun Days are here again, brought to you by the Brewster Community Club. New activities include the Wild 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by the Indian Lake Progressive 4-H Club, and a bean bag tournament. The events get started on Friday with the food both opening at the Brewster Park shelter (5 p.m.), and the Kiddie Pedal Pull (5:30 p.m.).
The schedule of events is as follows:
5 p.m., Food Booth in the Brewster Park shelter opens.
5 p.m., Kiddie Pedal Pull sign-up begins.
5:30 p.m., Kiddie Pedal Pull begins — Fourth Avenue in front of the Brewster school.
6:30 p.m., Little Mr./Miss Brewster drawing (ages 4 to 10) in the Brewster Park Bandshell.
9 p.m. to midnight, Teen dance featuring DJ Barry Roberts at the Brewster Legion.
8 a.m., Wild 5K Run/Walk Registration begins in Brewster City Park.
9 a.m., Sand volleyball begins.
9 a.m., Horseshoe tournament begins.
9 a.m., Bean bag tournament begins.
9 a.m., Wild 5K Run/Walk begins from Brewster City Park.
11 a.m., Kids games in the park.
11 a.m., Food booths in the Brewster Park shelter open, with pie and ice cream by the Sacred Heart women.
1 p.m., Main Parade
2 p.m., Entertainment, “Jared Sherlock — Magician Illusionist,” in the Brewster gymnasium.
3 p.m., Kids water fight and games, by the Brewster Fire Department.
9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Street dance with Judd Hoos. Admission and entry are at the Brewster Park shelter, and outside beverages are not permitted. You must be 21 to drink alcohol.
Sunrise, Brewster Medallion Hunt.
8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Brewster firemen annual pancake breakfast in the American Legion.
