Fun Days in Brewster

BREWSTER — It’ll be a fun-filled weekend in Brewster as the town’s annual Fun Days festivities kick off Friday night, hosted by the Brewster Community Club.

Brewster Community Club President Jim Heidelberger said it will be a packed weekend full of events.

“Friday the Fun Days begins with the Kiddee Pedal Pull at 5 p.m. in front of the Brewster School, and following will be the little Mr./Miss Brewster drawing, which is always a fun time for the kids,” Heidelverger said.

Heidelberger explained that Saturday is full of outdoor activities for anyone who wants to come out and enjoy the anticipated nice weather.

“We’ll have a sand volleyball tournament, a horseshoe tournament and a bean bag tournament at the Brewster City Park,” Heidelberger listed. “There will be kids games at the park as well.”

The main parade will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a series of entertainment acts. At 2 p.m., David Malmberg will put on a ventriloquist act at the park bandshell, and the Brewster Fire Department will host a kid’s water fight and games.

“From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be a street dance with performer Judd Hoos hitting the stage, and on Sunday the celebration will end with the pancake breakfast at the American Legion,” Heidelberger explained.
