WILMONT -- Joseph Springman, a Wilmont native and 2010 Adrian High School graduate, remains in critical condition following a car crash Tuesday morning on his way to work.

A fund has now been created at United Prairie Bank in Wilmont to help the family with medical costs. Donations may be sent to Joseph Springman, care of United Prairie Bank, P.O. Box 8, Wilmont 56185

According to Heidi Doering-Resch, speaking on behalf of the family, Springman suffered internal bleeding and had his spleen removed on Tuesday. On Wednesday he had a CT-scan to see if there were any head or neck injuries. He has a broken wrist, broken ankle, broken femur and some broken ribs, and remains in intensive care at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

A recent graduate of Mitchell Technical Institute, Springman was an electrical lineman in northwest Iowa.
