Amber Beth Achterhoff and Michael Paul Garcia were married June 22 at the Chandler Reformed Church, Chandler, with the Rev. Nathan Huisman.
Parents of the couple are Duane and Shari Achterhoff, Chandler, Marsha and John Kindseth, Pipestone, and Michael and Mary Garcia, San Antonio, Texas.
The bride’s attendants were Adam Achterhoff, Lydia Diekmann, Jenna Carlson and Alyssa Bauer. Personal attendants were Jill Honermann and Jane Vipond.
The groom’s attendants were Ben Erickson, Christopher Garcia, Justin Kindseth and Brad Straw.
Ushers were MacKenzie Bonine and Andrew Bonine.
Music was provided by Julie Reitsma, organist.
An outdoor reception was under a tent in Chandler, with Clark and Darcy Schuur hosting. Suzie Schuur and Mike Swan attended the punch bowl. Cake was served by Daris Schuur and Traci Bonine.
The bride is a 2008 Murray County Central High School graduate. She attended South Dakota State University, Brookings, and Lake Area Technical Institute, Watertown, S.D., graduating in 2012 with an occupational therapy assistant degree. She is employed by Prairie Rehab and works in occupational therapy at Good Samaritan homes in the Windom area. She is also attending St. Catherine’s University, St. Paul.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Murray County Central High School. He attended South Dakota State University and Minnesota West Community and Technical College. He is employed as a manager at Operation Control Center near Chandler, which monitors wind turbines for EDF Renewable Energy.
After a wedding trip to Duluth and the North Shore, they live in Windom.
