Madisyn Dingmann scored the game’s first goal, off assists from Madilyn Oye and Sterrett. Mariah Aukes, a freshman forward, then added to the total scoring two goals —one unassisted and another off assists from Dingman and Oye —to give the visitors a 3-3 game to win.

Sterrett’s shot pushed Luverne’s record to 16-3 on the season. Following the game, Luverne coach Tony Sandbulte was pleased with his squad’s effort and ability to, once again, go on the road and get a win.

“We knew it would be a battle going into their barn,” he said. “We played a solid defensive game and put our chances away.”

Luverne 0 1 3 —4

Hutchinson 0 0 3 —3
