The Tigers pulled out to a 7-0 lead on their home ice following the opening period and netted two more goals in the second and three more in the third.

Trojans senior goaltender Amanda Bristow, in the final game of her five-year career in that varsity spot, turned away 40 of the 52 shots she faced on the night. The tournament’s sixth-seeded Worthington squad was kept to just one shot on goal for the evening.

Junior forward Teegan Wyffels led Marshall with four scores on the night. The Trojans finish their season at 1-19. Third-seeded Marshall, moving to 11-12-1 on the season, advances to face second-seeded Luverne Tuesday on the road.

“The girls played their positions tonight, played good defense all game long and never gave up,” Trojans head coach Eric Milbrath said. “Each girl as an individual, and we as a team, made progress this year.”
