ADRIAN ­— Five Adrian Dragons pinned opponents Friday in a 41-25 wrestling victory over Albert Lea.

Ryan Elias pinned the Tigers’ Gavin Ignaszewski in 4:35 at 120 pounds. Matthew Slater pinned Santana Acosta in :46 at 152. At 170, Jesse Slater pinned Chris Nelson in 1:37, at 182 Ben Taracena pinned Kimball Blake in 1:40 and at 220 Tony Sieve recorded a fall over Dominick Fadden in :53.


Adrian also got victories at 106 pounds with a 6-4 Skylar Hieronimus victory over Garrett Aldrich, a 10-2 Michael Preuss victory over Blake Simon at 132, and an 11-3 win by Logan Rogers over Parker Mullembach at 145.

Adrian is 22-5 in duals this winter.

BOLD 51, T-M-B/W-WG 30

OLIVIA — Two wrestlers won matches on the night for Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove, but the Panthers fell on the road to BOLD.

The Panthers picked up three forfeits on the night, but it wasn’t enough to overcome five pins the host Warriors mounted for the big lead and the eventual team win.

Winners of head-to-head matches for the Panthers included Daulton Carlson (113) and Sterling Schwartz (152).

Jackson County Central 40, Windom/Mountain Lake 25

WINDOM — Class A’s fourth-ranked Jackson County Central posted a big 40-25 win over Southwest Conference mate Windom Area/Mountain Lake Friday evening.

The Huskies had wins from Jordan Biehn (126), Luke Pygman (145), Paden Moore (152), Luke Norland (160), Keegan Moore (170), Chris Baker (182), Jack Zeimer (195) and Nate Horn (285) on the evening.

Winners for the Cobras in the dual included Alex Borsgard (106), Wyatt Stevens (113), Joe Fischenich (120), Luis Ramirez (132), Jared Willaby (138) and Vince Johnson (220).

The Cobras opened the dual meet with a 10-0 lead and surrendered it when JCC took a 21-19 advantage on Norland’s pin at 160.

JCC moved to 16-4 in dual meets and to 4-0 in the SWC.

The Cobras fell to 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the league.
