ELLSWORTH — Central Lyon used a large number of takeaways in the first half to shut down Ellsworth 67-39 in a girls basketball game Monday night.

Shaylee Struckman scored 17 points for the Lions, who improved to 1-2 on the season.

Ellsworth senior Alexa Huisman scored 17 points.

EDGERTON — Southwest Christian downed Hills-Beaver Crek at home 84-52.

Tianna Top eclipsed SWC’s single game scoring record with 36 in the game. Maria Talsma added 14 points. Hope Veldkamp and Ann Pater scored 10 apiece.

Madison Fick scored 14 points for H-BC.
