Wedding information and photos must be received as soon as possible following the wedding date or they may not be considered for publication or will be severely condensed.

Announcements that are received more than six months past the wedding date will not be published.

Anniversaries and birthdays are published on Tuesdays and must be received by the Friday prior to the publication date.

In its society section, the Daily Globe will publish five-year significant anniversary and birthday events, beginning with 70th birthdays and 25th wedding anniversaries. People who are older than 95 years old and couples who are celebrating anniversaries in excess of 65 years can be honored each year in the society section.

Only current photos are published with birthday announcements and some anniversary announcements.

For 50th and 60th anniversaries, an original wedding photo with a current photo can be submitted.

Other occasions can be printed as “Happy Ads” in the classified section for a fee.

Announcements and photos can be emailed directly to brickers@dglobe.com. Photos sent via e-mail should be jpg files with a resolution of at least 200 ppi/dpi.

Hard copies of society items can also be sent to the Daily Globe, Attn: Society, Box 639, Worthington 56187. Include a daytime phone number and a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of any photos.

For more information about society items, contact Features Editor Beth Rickers, 376-7327.
