Ina Mae Larson

Ina Mae Larson was born on March 26, 1931 in Slayton, Minnesota to Archie and Elsie Like Dayton. She grew up near Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School in 1948. On October 27, 1950 she and Donald Larson were married at the United Methodist Church in Slayton. Following their marriage they farmed the Larson family farm in Mason Township, Murray County, MN. In 1954 they moved to a rented farm in Mason Township for 12 years before purchasing a farm near Currie, MN. In 1994 they returned to the Larson family farm. Ina Mae worked at the Hut in Slayton for many years. On October 24, 2013 Ina Mae moved to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton where she passed away on November 6, 2013 at the age of 82. She was a member of the Lake Sarah Baptist Church in rural Slayton where she taught Sunday school, was an AWANA leader and sang in the church choir. Ina Mae also served as church clerk and as a Deaconess. Ina Mae enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Donald Larson of Slayton, MN, five children and their spouses, Lynn and Ralph Haberman of Norwood Young America, MN, Peggy and Richard Caviness of Waconia, MN, Sandy and Michael Keller of Burnsville, MN, Connie and William Vihovde of Burnsville, MN, and Douglas Larson of Sioux Falls, SD, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one sister, Doris Vos and her husband, Case of Slayton, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Paul Larson and one brother, Dale Dayton.

Funeral services will be at Lake Sarah Baptist Church in rural Slayton, MN on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Lassen officiating. Interment is at Lake Sarah Baptist Cemetery, rural Slayton, MN.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and also from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00p.m. at the church on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to Our House Hospice Home in Slayton, MN. To send condolences visit
