Insurance help available at library
WORTHINGTON — A series of information and enrollment sessions are planned at the Nobles County Library in Worthington to help uninsured residents learn about their health insurance options through MNsure, the state’s health insurance exchange.
Nobles County has one of the highest rates of uninsured residents in the state, according to a recent data analysis produced by the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC). SHADAC estimates 16 percent of the county’s residents younger than age 65 are uninsured.
Navigators from Health Access Minnesota, a MNsure grantee, will provide the information and enrollment assistance at the following times: 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. today; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday; 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 2
Residents who are interested in enrolling for health insurance through MNsure should bring their Social Security numbers and an estimate of 2013 income from all sources.
Health Access MN is collaboration of libraries, homeless organizations, legal services, labor groups and St. Catherine University’s Public Health Program.
