Internet safety program offered
LUVERNE -- A program on Internet safety and social networking will be presented at 7 p.m. March 15, in the little theater at Luverne High School, 709 N. Kniss Ave.
Geared for parents and children in grades four and above, the program will cover basics on how to protect children online.
Updates will be presented on Internet use and cyber bullying on social networks, cell phone usage, tips for parental awareness, what's happening in other schools and exposure to additional education and programs.
Presenter is Karina Berzins, training and education coordinator for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Information will also be provided by Internet Crimes Against Children and local law enforcement.
