Iowa girls basketball: S-O girls dump Rock Valley, Central Lyon falls

SIBLEY, Iowa — Bridget Doeden scored 14 points, pulled down nine rebounds and blocked three shots as the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals defeated Rock Valley Friday night to move to 4-0 on the girls basketball season.

Alyssa Stofferan had 14 points and two assists for the Generals. Kayla Ackerman had 10 points.

Kensey Vander Hoef scored 29 points for Rock Valley and teammate Sammy Blum had 11.

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — Sarah Halse and Shaylee Struckman each had eight points Friday night for Central Lyon, but they weren’t enough in a home loss.

Halse also contributed eight rebounds for CL (0-2), who trailed 31-16 at halftime and were outscored in every quarter.

The Lions next play at Ellsworth Monday, while Sioux Center (2-1) takes on Boyden-Hull on Tuesday.
