JCPenney to collect funds for Habitat for Humanity
LUVERNE -- Habitat for Humanity is partnering with JCPenney in the retailer's charitable giving program, jcp cares.
JCPenney customers can round up their purchases in May to the nearest whole dollar and donate the difference to support Habitat's affordable housing work in partnership with low-income families around the world. In southwest Minnesota, the Worthington store will participate.
"As one of nearly 2,000 Habitat affiliates working to create affordable housing worldwide, we are so pleased to support this fundraising campaign in partnership with JCPenney," said Pam Dobson, executive director of Southwestern Minnesota Habitat for Humanity.
To support the JCPenney partnership with Habitat, JCPenney customers can round-up their purchases both in-store and online at jcp.com. Additionally, customers can make donations to Habitat for Humanity at jcp.com/jcpcares and support the organization through the Facebook social game, WeTopia.
