‘Leaving Iowa’ performance to kick off Sheldon’s Celebration Days
SHELDON, Iowa -- Sheldon Community Theatre will kick off the community's Celebration Days this week with performances of "Leaving Iowa." The play will be staged at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Sheldon High School auditorium.
Other Saturday events include open gym from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Northwest Iowa Lifelong Learning and Recreation Center (LLRC); mini rod tractor pulls at 1:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Horse Arena; and a street dance featuring Madison Bower and the Straight-On Band from 8 p.m. to midnight in Langer's Bar and Grill parking lot.
The schedule on Sunday also features a community worship service and ice cream social at 6 p.m. in City Park; and Classic Car Cruise from 7 to 10 p.m. at Cook's Cafe/Langer's Bar and Grill.
The festival gets into full swing on Monday with a packed slate of events:
