JACKSON — Post 130 rolled to 6-2 Monday when it took a 12-0 home win over Windom.

Easton Bahr and Jared Bakalyar both scored in the home half of the first to put Jackson on top 2-0. The game was truly opened up in the second, however, when a double by Mitchell Macek and a Ryan Christopher single aided Post 130 to a seven-run inning.

On the other end, Scott Christopher cruised through four innings in the start. He allowed just three hits, walked one and plunked one to never really allow Windom to put a threat together. Ryan Christopher came in to pitch the fifth and allowed one runner to reach on a walk and tallied one strikeout.

Scott Christopher was 3-for-4 with a run scored with Ryan Christopher going 2-for-3 with a run. Bahr and Jordan Biehn were both 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored while Macek went 1-for-4 with a double.

ST. JAMES — Luverne couldn’t muster any offense Monday in a 5-0 non-league shutout at the hands of St. James.

Post 123 managed just three hits after a three-run first for St. James put them in a sizeable hole.

“He threw strikes,” Luverne coach Barry Shelton said of St. James’ pitcher. “He didn’t throw very hard but sometimes those are the hardest guys to hit. He didn’t walk anyone and he only struck out two. We put the ball in play but they made the plays.”

Luke Nibbelink took the loss for Luverne, surrendering two earned runs and striking out three. Gunnar Olson, Andrew Verhey and Zane Hiller had a hit each.
