Three years ago, the Senate Democrats voted YES to approve the section of Obamacare that requires individual health insurance policies to be dropped if they didn’t meet the new requirements of the Affordable Care Act. President Obama and the Democrats knew that people would lose their coverage and the Democrats stood behind the president when he said, “If you like your coverage, you can keep it.”

Now we know that isn’t true, and the Democrats are running from their previous backing of that specific provision in the bill called Obamacare. The Democrats must take ownership for this law because no Republicans wanted to own it. The Republicans wanted to have good honest debate over the health care in this country, but the Democrats wanted to be partisan and not hear another viewpoint on the particulars.

I encourage the electorate to evaluate what kind of representation we want.
