Letter: Don't rush to cut down city's trees
My hope is that the city takes their time with cutting down all those trees. Many will survive if they are left alone with only removal of broken branches and some pruning.
Give them time and a chance. They may not be perfect but they will give shade, oxygen and a place for birds to raise their young.
The saying is haste makes waste. Please don't waste these trees that have taken years to grow. Once they are cut down, they are gone forever.
