Letter: Generosity made Christmas special for senior residents
On behalf of the residents of South Shore and Crossroads Care Centers in Worthington, I would like to thank the Worthington United Methodist Church, Bedford Industries, Pat Grimmius and the employees of both care centers for making our residents' Christmas special through your generous gifts to our residents.
South Shore and Crossroads provide care for more than 100 senior citizens. Many have no family living nearby or have no family left. Thanks to these organizations and individuals, each resident received a Christmas gift this year, many of which were selected just for them based on their interests. It was so much fun to see the surprised expressions and smiles when they opened their special gifts. Thanks to all who gave gifts, for caring!
We would also like to thank all the individuals and organizations who provided special programs and Christmas caroling during the holidays and throughout the year. We invite anyone who has a special talent to share, whether it be music, dance, arts, hobbies or crafts to contact us. We are always looking for volunteers! Happy new year from our homes to yours.
