Letter: HLWD needs teamwork, not disrespect
I read Ryan McGaughey's article on "Respect, Integrity, and Responsibility" on which the Daily Globe is based. It was a very well-written article.
Shouldn't we expect that everyone who writes letters to the editor would write in a respectful, truthful, responsible manner? It's easy to be disrespectful when you haven't taken the time to learn about the person or organization you're writing about. Everyone of us has a responsibility to help clean up the water that flows into Heron Lake, so why not attend one of the educational events the Heron Lake Watershed District hosts so you can learn how you can be part of that effort and see what they're doing on behalf of everyone that lives in the district.
When we write statements without going to the source we become part of the problem, not the solution. There's a lot that needs to be done and the Heron Lake Watershed District cannot do it alone! If we work together much can be accomplished
